GETTING MAIL. IT’S EITHER CYBER OR BILLS IF OF THE SNAIL TYPE. We think that is the reason some people still take the time to choose (or make) a nice card, handwrite wishes and send it out with a stamp. Other than xmas, weddings  and birthdays, the occasions seem to have made themselves scarce over the years. But one can always count on the fashion industry to hold onto such an “old world” chic way to invite. The irony is, while it uses such an archaic method to ensure its guests have secured their spots at the prized shows, it also controls unscrupulous knockoffs by making these invites in the grandest of secrecies and utilizing all the latest printing technologies.

The results are a staggering array of eye-popping invitations that are really “out-of-the-box” (pun intended). Having recently worked ourselves on our own mailouts,  some of these ideas are simply mind bogglingly impressive. Considering, in the end, it’s just an invite card. Really. One thing is for sure, some of them are so intricate or beautifully designed, they automatically become a piece to keep once the beholder’s hand has felt its debossed face…

You can see all the invites sent to Tony Chambers of Wallpaper here.

Enjoy.
