JESUS CHRIST ANNIE, YOU HANDLE A CIGAR LIKE A MONKEY HANDLES A COCONUT…” Listen carefully while attentively watching this sumptuous film by Fabien Baron (Editorial Director of Interview magazine) as part of Calvin Klein‘s spring 2013 campaign. Starring Alexander Skarsgård, whose father, Stellan Skarsgård played in several movies by Lars von Trier (love his work!), who did Melancholia, which had some slow-mo visuals that were just as poignant and stunning as Provocations, but we digress.

Artsy Fartsy? Yes. Loving it? Oh Yes! We mean really, we love to see a power fashion house that has always been at some point or another in “Provocations”, pun intended, widen its fashion scope to multi artistic endeavours and platforms. Not unlike Prada has been doing for a while (have you seen the Candy series?). This movie, showcasing the bravado of actors and mostly the director, also features the stunning score ”Og Lengra” composed by Olafur Arnalds which sets the dramatic/enigmatic quasi philosophic setting for the flic. It also showcases the stunning spring collection, obvi. Which all of it. We want. If you’re gonna sell us a pair of jeans, this is how you do it. Let alone if the rest of Francisco Costa’s collection kicks fashion arse.

A film such as this one truly has the ability of making its viewer clock out for a moment and dream. And that’s great. If we had any talent, which we practically don’t, mostly in film making, we would make movies like this ALL THE TIME.

So sit back, relax and enjoy a stellar mix of images, fashion and music. #provocations
