If you’re like us you grew up with the Lacoste brand.  Having the image of preppy, when we used (note the past tense) to think of the brand we’d envision their colourful polo cotton piqué shirt with the famous crocodile logo.  This thought has now changed over time and their most recent spring/summer 2013 collection in the hands of Felipe Oliveira Baptista, got us instead thinking of Lacoste more in line with Celine, Carven or even to a certain extent Lanvin; minimal, clean and modern.

What we stopped on most was the play on white that is super duper in this coming season.  How to carry it off without looking like a hospital intern; avoid matching your whites, instead opt for different shades  (yes, that’s right, even white comes in over 100 different shades) and even mixing opaque with transparent materials.
