Because Valentino is mostly known and adored for its Couture collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli incorporated some of its couture culture into its Pre-Fall collection. Indeed, the elegance and beauty was present, this time mixed with contrasted fabrics (hello, glossy patent leather!), which gave a contemporary and modern feel to the presentation. As always, the designers left us wanting most of the pieces. Could it be the colour palette of black, ivory and red (THE house’s colour!)? Or the perfect construction of the clothes? Either way, we can easily picture ourselves wearing that ivory look, from the cape to the embroidered shirt. So feminine! And that ruffled dress? So quirky! We also love the red ‘one-piece’: beautifully tailored, this look is perfect to remain chic at the office. Oh, and did you notice the shoes/boots? Picture perfect.  Oh, and did you notice the bags?  Seen in the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the clutch with the wrist-strap is here to stay… and we need to get our hands on one!
