With a color palette of blacks and whites (with some dashes of red), Sarah Burton presented a Pre-Fall collection that felt was inspired by the Amish and papal world. Think here the long, velvet embroidered dresses, which oozes an understated, timeless luxury. The capes (piece that we just love!) and the coats had sleeves that came wrapping around the arms quite perfectly. We love the fact that every look accentuated the waist with a belt. Perfect way to make any outfit more feminine and pulled-together. The shoes and boots, with those big pilgrim buckles, reminded us of le Chat Botté. And the more we look at them, the more they grow on us! And notice the long pendant necklace? Somehow forgotten, that accessory needs to find its way back into our dressing ritual!
