We’ll admit it, our favorite segment.  We absolutely love talking about shoes probably as it goes hand in hand with our love to purchase them!

Though we feel at this point just about any shoe is in, we did notice fine details to look out for.  Do keep in mind we’re showing you the designer collections however keep your eyes open with the tips learnt here as you’ll find knock offs just about anywhere.

(1)    Flat Shoes – if you’re going to opt for flats be sure to add some bedazzle in the form of color, a buckle, a tassel, or a geisha inspired heel.  Remember that brogues and loafers are in as in goes in line with the androgynous look (refer to our part 3 of 3 of must have Fall/Winter 2012 Looks).

Prada / Marc Jacobs / Jean Paul Gaultier / Marni / Chloe / Giorgio Armani

(2)    Booties – we’re thinking our most favorite look for shoes this coming season.  We feel they can easily be worn with just about anything and they’re obviously more practical for handling the elements then regular heels.  We especially love how Chanel added a take whereby depending on which angle it can be seen as a booty or a shoe (double personality anyone?).  Play your booties up, have fun with them and do try to avoid the regular black unless it has texture.

Chanel / Fendi / Miu Miu / Balmain / Donna Karen / Balenciaga

(3)    High Boots – the sexiest of them all according to men.  Just below the knee if what you’re looking to pull off!

Gucci / Alexander McQueen / Givenchy / Bottega Veneta / Proenza Schouler / Rodarte

(4)    Square Heel – be sure to add a square heeled shoe this season.  The height of your heel can vary and just about anything goes (petite square heels are also returning to the catwalks).

Dior / Louis Vuitton / Miu Miu / Chloe / Celine / Marc Jacobs

(5)    Sneakers – Sport has been making its way back into fashion and yes, we’re giving our o.k., sneakers are stylish!  But please, refrain from wearing your everyday running shoes and opt for a classier pair.  Do also match them with a dress to give it that dual effect of ‘yes I wear sneakers but I can pull off a girly girl dress as well!’
