Valentino – This one’s for you my ‘Gucci’ reader!! Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli did a fantastic job in representing the Valentino house.  So many pieces that we fell in love with that it was truly hard to narrow it down.  But we feel these pieces captured the essence of the resort collection.  Floral prints and lace (off course… Valentino wouldn’t be the same without them) though it was the open back, one piece jumpsuits, tone on tone color and double breasted jacket that added a twist that still kept it feminine yet modern and up to today.  The dainty shoes (keep watch… low healed shows are making a comeback) with the hand held clutches were also lovely to keep eye on.  What we did find quite funny to see what a leopard print piece making its way into the Valentino line… I suppose leopard has not become classic!

Celine – Many pieces were a must in the Celine resort 2013 collection: large trouser pants (which we hinted towards it’s been a while.. wide legged pants are becoming a must to have in every closet), scarves (yes… ), double breasted jacket, and see through heels (time for  a pedicure).  Leather continued to be a material of choice for Phoebe Philo of Celine and it was seen in not only her must have accessories that every woman aims to have but also in coats and dresses.  A beautiful piece which was also unveiled as a practical option was the ‘All Soft’, a zipless, fold-over tote.  A beautiful and clean collection.
